The Acland is situated in the middle of Stogursey village just a few miles from Hinkley Point and provides excellent high quality self-catering accommodation. If you are working at Hinkley Point, a one bedroom apartment start from only £140.00 per week.

There are many interesting places just a short drive away, like Dunster, with its Castle, Shops and Tea rooms, Cleeve Abbey and Porlock with its quaint harbour and also Exmoor National Park. Bridgwater Bay, with its vast mudflats and salt marshes attracts large numbers of wintering waterfowl. The fossil rich beaches at Stolford and Lilstock are also very popular with local fishermen and coarse fishing is available at Burton Springs, approximately 1 mile from the Acland Hotel in Stogursey.

The Quantocks hills that can be seen from the Acland and are a paradise for walkers, mountain bikers and horse riding. There are amazing views across the Bristol Channel to South Wales and the Brecon beacons. The landscape is of extraordinary natural beauty and provides dramatic views of the somerset coast.

The hinkley cottages and all other accommodation at the Acland is self-catering. The hinkley cottages have a lounge, kitchen, dinning room a bathroom and a down stairs toilet. Holiday cottage number 4 also has one en-suite bathroom and one family bathroom. The apartments have kitchen units with a fridge, microwave and shower room. Bedding, crockery and cutlery are all provided.

All accommodation at the Acland has an LCD TV with built in freeview. The whole of the Acland accommodation along with all the Hinkley cottages have been newly renovated in 2009.

We have Good WIFi for a reasonable additional fee. Phone signal is not too bad depending on your phone network, but if you are finding it difficult to get a good phone signal, then using whatsapp, Skype or facetime is a good option.

The Acland Accommodation is close to the village amenities of Stogursey such as the “The Greyhound Inn”, Post Office, Newsagent and Grocery Store and Hinkley Point power station. There is also a new launderette in the hotel available to guests.
